Hi everyone,

I've been considering (with a very tight budget) a little overhaul to my computer desktop speaker situation. I plan on getting some pieces through craigslist to save coin but have also been thinking about a Class T amplifier. My home studio space is quite small and I never blast music so I do not need much power.

I've been looking at some of these Class T amplifiers, and even though some have great reviews, I am wondering if these are pay for what you get for items.

Couple of models I have been looking at:

Topping VX1 (USB DAC is very appealing)

Lepai LP-2020A+

I know Stereophile has had the Class D Lepai LP7498EA in it's recommended components, but it has a lot of poor reviews on Amazon.

Another option is the Qinpu Q-2 Hybrid Tube Amp which seems to have good reviews online.

Anyway... I guess my question is is this a worthwhile endeavor or am I better off considering a different solution?

Thanks and cheers!
Matthew
