Approximately six months ago I asked for some Charlie Haden recommendations and received a boatload HERE
Many thanks for all the suggestions. I sampled just about everything and purchased several. In my research I stumbled upon this title and must say I find myself continually inserting it into my player.
Charlie hooks up with artists Gonzalo Rubalcaba (piano), and Ignacio Berroa (drums). Guests include Pat Metheny, Joe Lavano, David Sanchez and Federico Britos Ruiz on violin.
I have to say this album is right up there with "Under the Missouri Sky" that Charlie did with Pat Metheny. It makes that strong emotional connection, for me at least, requiring I get at least a weekly dose of its infectious music.
Worth checking out.
