A recent article by Robert Harley in TAS says good things about the new Cary unit.
I am currently using a Sony SCD-777ES for SACD and for regular CD I use it as a transport and a THETA Pro Basic 3 with balanced out is the D/A converter.
The sound is excellent for regular CD, but the sound on SACD, while good, simply does not impress me that much; I suspect there is more there than I am getting from the Sony.
Has anyone out there had a chance to audition the new CARY?
I live a long way from a dealer, and it may be tough to actually audition it in my system, so before I spend 6 large on it I want to get some informed input if possible.
So...who has some experience that may be helpful?
