It's been quite a while since DUP was banned "indefinitely" from these forums. The assumption and justification for his ban were that he was too disruptive to these forums and without him, there would be peace, civility and forum members would just become a happy go lucky bunch.

Needless to say, that didn't happen. We still have the forum fights. There are enough assholes to go around in these forums that one more wouldn't make any difference one way or another. There are still personal attacks, name calling, spewing of the BS and other things that were alleged to have been brought out by DUP's presence.

It seems to me that DUP has had less of an effect on these forums than previously thought. Given that forums haven't not become substantially more civil (if at all), I urge the moderators to reconsider DUP's ban and make him a member in good standing on these forums. I think he had a lot to offer and his behavior was not as disruptive as was assumed.

In other words, I don't think he's any worse than any one of the regulars and he should be brought back to inject some sense of sanity, humor and knowledge to these forums.
