I currently have Martin Logan Prodigies driven by McCormack DNA 500. I am thinking of getting some seriously good amps in the price range of $20K+ to bring out the best in my speakers. The problem I run into is that everyone tells me their amps can do the job. My question is: Can they do a Great Job?
Is the power rating over-taken in significance by other design considerations in expensive amps?
Another problem is that the list of well reviewed expensive amps is quite long: CAT, Atma-sphere, Dartzeel, Audio Research, Lamm, VTL...
Is it just about getting these amps into my system and listening?
The problem here is that driving distances are long, dealers that have demos are few, and there are so many choices.
