So I'm building a new stereo system, finally in a position to upgrade from some old Bose speakers that are from the 80s that were passed down to me. Picked up some Paradigm Reference Studio Series 20 v.5 that I'm really happy with. Now I need the the rest of the equipment and I will be honest, I am completely new to all of this. I primarily listen to music on vinyl and from my computer.
Most immediately I am looking for recommendations on a receiver, a phono preamp and cables I should be using for all of this.
Also, I came across an article discussing USB devices to output audio from computers that sound better than the standard stereo out so if anyone has advice on that I would appreciate it too.
In terms of price range, I have the money to buy what I need, but I'm not looking to spend more than I need to.
Any help and advice would be appreciated.
