Check em out. I'm tinkin they could warm up those B&W's nicely. Great values and I believe they include phono preamps as well.
RG
highly regarded. However, the Emotiva USP-1 and UPA-2 combo is certainly also worth a listen. Double the power of the Mira and performance way beyond their price point. Try them for 30 days and if you don't like them you are only out the return shipping. To save a little on those items you could see if there are any B-stock available; reduced price, are as new, and have a full five-year warranty. Another nice feature of the USP-1 is if in the future you decide you want real bass its bass management allows easy and clean integration of a subwoofer.
Thanks RG and Jack! While I really liked the price point of the Marantz, as well as all the good reviews, and the Emotiva's were at the top of my list, I ended up negotiating a killer deal for the Mira 3. In fact, if I end up not liking it, I'll be able to resell and make my money back (I certainly hope I don't have to do that though).
Next step...Turntable! WHOOOOO!!!
BTW, I started reading some posts in the Cables forum... Just when I thought I had it all figured out haha!
Anyway, thanks again for the advice. I'll post a follow up once the amp arrives and I get everything set up.
Cheers!
