Recommendations could $100s to $1000s of dollars. There are lots of powerful amps that can drive that speaker well.

I would sell you one of my old amps for $450 plus shipping.

It is an Audire Forte amplifier; excellent sound and in good condition.

You can find info about it if you search online. Made in OC, Calif. in the 1980s by Julius Siksnius.

It is true dual-mono and rated 125 watts per channel at 8 ohms, 250 watts per channel at 4 ohms, and 400 watts per channel into 2 ohms. It cost $1400 in the 1980s, new. today it would cost at $3000. Shipping weight around 50 pounds.

If interested, briefly post your email address (you can erase it later with an edit) and we will discuss it.

I'm not interested in a used amp from usa, with taxes and shipping it would be to expensive.

Big amp with alot of power to control my speakers to perfection and make them sound big and groovy, mid 90's or newer, 2x100watt in 8ohm or more, price could be difficult since here in denmark and in usa prices could be very diffrent, used 350$ or around 300€

Often a big amp can control and make large bookshelf speaker like i have sound bigger then with a small amp, i'm not gonna play insanely loud, but use the dynamic headroom a big amp has and to control the bass to perfection so i get most bass, dynamic out of my speakers with no distortion

You could try and hunt down a Marantz MM7025 used, 140w/ch into 8 ohms. New this is $799 in the US, used might be in your price range. I have seen it refurbished for $499, so $300 - $400 used should be about right.

For older units, avoid Carver unless it has been refurbished. You may see a few Carver TFM-15CBs out there and they are awesome units once they are refurbished but it will cost you $200-$300 for the refurb.

Do you have a preamp or a source with a volume control? If you don't, then you need a receiver or integrated am in which case my advice was silly. If you do have a preamp or source with a volume control, an RCA cable is all you would need.

Assuming you need a receiver or integrated amp, try and find a Harman Kardon HK3490. This was a gem of a unit that was $399 new and was probably the most recommended budget component in this forum till it was discontinued and replaced in their line by a shockingly mediocre unit.

After that, I really like Denon units for the money. I know it is a hair lighter on power than you would like at 90w into two channels, but the Denon AVR1912 was a monstrously good value for the quality of its output and feature set.

The other alternative would be to get an inexpensive used preamp. Carver actually is a good option for those as they aged surprisingly well. You should be able to pick up something like a CT-27 for about $100, but then you are over your budget.
