Like the Matrix 2 s2 but smaller.
Good and pretty inexpensive. Most of the time you'll find them in black but they are beautiful in cherry.
I've used these (CDM-1NT) and a pair of B&W 805N's in my office system for the past 10 years. I've brought in other stand mounts from other companies, but nothing has beat out the 1NT's thus far...the Nautilus tweeter is sweet and vocals just hang there on a bed of air. I've seen these on sale before on eBay. Good luck!
Here is the review from 1995

The Bowers and Wilkins 805N's that I'm using are a bit newer model than in that review, these have the curved cabinet with the Nautilus tweeter on top. A buddy of mine had an early version of the 801 with the squarish boxes mounted atop one another and man those things sounded incredible. Thanks for posting that link, I'd never read that review before. Take care.
The B & W 685 would be my first choice.
Buy a used pair of CM1s
Both vintage and new, the 805/805D.
