Iv been thinking of buying a turntable, used preferably. I have a budget of about $2500. I notice there seems to be more companies making turntables than cd players. This only adds to my confusion. Do I buy a 12inch arm or 9? Does It matter what It's made of? Will It sound better than any cd player on the maket? At least this is what the hype says. What makes one table better than the other? What makes a cartrige better than the other. How do I know If I put together a table, arm,cartrige,and phone stage that It's gonna sound good. Buying a cd player Is far more simple.
When I was 8 years old times were so much simpler. Id put on my Kiss Destroyer album on my sisters mickey mouse player and voila..music.
Iv gotten way deeper Into this Hi Fi thing than I ever wanted. Looks like Im about to get In way deeper lol. Any help would be great. It will be sometime before I buy but at least I'll know what Im looking for.
