It is a matter of taste. I find for home theater a slightly forward speaker works best as it emphasizes spoken words. Last time I shopped for this (about 7 years ago) I found that I liked one set of speakers in that price range, the Sunfire HRSs, which have since been discontinued. The only other speaker line I really loved was the B&W CM line which is now the 700 line. I don’t think you can put together a B&W 700 series system for 4000 euros, if you can, you should.

Other than those, I would look at the Monitor Audio Silver line or the PSB Imagine line and see if you can put together a system with those. They may be the next best choice.

I recommend Focal, or PSB speakers.

Are you specifically setting up a Dolby 5.1, 7.1 or Atmos HT setup with the requisite ceiling-mounted speakers (eg: 5.1.4)? That will help us understand specifically what speakers you need. Cheers.

I like Revel and Kef for HT first systems because they are pretty forgiving of placement to get good sound. Obvoiusly all speakers will sound best when they can be placed correctly, but some are more forgiving of corner placement, etc.

Do you have an enormous room for 7 speakers? Do you already have a sub? I have KEF 105.3 reference speakers and even at kick ass volume, the L/R sound is minimal. But I DO have the Reference C200 center speaker which has 2 mid/bass drivers, 1 upper mid driver w the uni-Q tweeter, and it really kicks ass. The center speaker you choose is going to be the star of your HT. I just have a 5.1 setup in a 6.1x4.9 meter room and it is plenty! Maybe you could save money and not have to buy 7 speakers. And my surround speakers are cheap $10 yard sale Pinnacle spkrs. I have tried KEFs, Polks, BOSE, but they were big and didn’t sound any better. Mine are hidden though. I probly would get nicer ones if I wanted to show them off. Also, invest in a great Sub. I’ve had a B&W sub and didn’t like it. I think it would sound great w B&W bookshelf spkrs, but it was crappy for a Home Theater setup. I have an NHT. I used to have a Velodyne CT-100 that kicked ass too.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to listen to Fyne Audio F501 at a local exhibition.
Liked them a lot.
I would have them in my short list for the mentioned budget.

Cheers
