Since you've ripped all of your CD's (I'm assuming in hi-res) you should consider the Musical Fidelity V90-DAC: $299 Stereophile gave it an A rating. http://www.stereophile.com/content/musical-fidelity-v90-dac-da-processor
All you'd need is to connect your computer to the V90 via USB and you would certainly get better sound than from a $300 CD player (because you're not buying a CD transport).
You can buy from AudioAdvisor.com and they offer a 30-day money back return.

I suggest that you look at the Sony CMT-SBT100 Compact Music System.
It has a CD player, amplifiers, tuner, and speakers in a nice package for only $199 from Amazon and BestBuy.
It has bigger speakers than most compact units and should be a nice one.
You guys are fast! I'm looking at 300 total so that sounds great. Thanks guys. Anymore suggestions are appreciated
Welcome! labria86 -
for $300 total- a compact system is your best option. There are many great ones out there. Visit your local Best Buy or search eBay.
Hi 86
here is my thread on my systems http://tuneland.techno-zone.net/t4-michael-s-system
One of them happens to be a $29.00 player, $99.00 receiver and a modified $35.00 speaker. If you use this setup correctly and follow some of the tips these guys on TuneLand give you will have a system that competes against the best in high end audio.
Here's a thread I started on this forum that talks about the method of tuning. It's not so much about the price of a system it's how you use it. http://www.stereophile.com/content/method-tuning
