Sounds pretty good to me.
I am pretty sure that the repair bill will be a lot more than $100, but I would go ahead and get it fixed if you can do it for $400 or less.
It will cost you at least $600 to get any decent new amp, so it is well worth it.
I wouldn't recommend that turntable. I think it would be disappointing. I suggest the Music Hall MMF-2.3.
