Its ironic, but I am actually finding myself using the APPLE TV more as a music player than as a video server.
I always wanted to connect an IPOD to my Sound system to improve the sound over the small IPOD docking sound systems.
I have the APPLE TV connect thru the TOSLINK output and a HDMI switcher so I can switch to the TV thru the HDMI output.
Now I get the big full sound and the advantage of having all my music easily accessible. ALl they need now, is to add a small scree to the Apple TV so I don't need to turn on the TV just to see the music menu.
It sounded surprisingly good and I trade any degradation in sound for the convenience.
