How often do you get it, this audio ennui?
I've been out of town alot lately, and I'm starting to think about sound in some new digs, even before I have any new digs. When this happens, I don't think enough about what stuff is in the garage, mind only drifts toward what's new!
I think I am usually a faithful owner to my gear, and try to only shop when something amazing catches my ear, or some beloved piece goes to the big sound room in the sky, but every now and then...
Do you ever get the itch for no apparent reason?
What's your "interval?"
(One of my Hi Fi mottos is "Different does not always mean better." I think I'll try to focus on "New does not always mean better," either. But I get wanderlust!)
