I was searching around for maybe a DIY project and found PHY full range drivers in the Madisound catalogue.
I'm thinking even Mr. Ten Left Thumbs buddha could cut a hole in a board and make their "infinite baffle" speaker project, but the price of the drivers is so dear, and the array of choices mysterious, that I thought I'd ask before I leap.
Anybody here hear these babies?
Also, those drivers are used in the Tonian Labs speakers, in association with ribbon tweeters that are also quite pricey.
The Tonian speakers are really high priced, but if the ribbon/PHY combo is well suited, that may make for a cool 'plywood' project.
So, I'm looking for people's recollections of the sound of any of these speakers or drivers!
