Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water AKG announces the K 702 for August release. As I understand it this is intended to be a pro model and will be sold in parallel with the AKG K 701 rather than replacing it.
As you can see the new model comes in a handsome dark blue and features a removable cable which should delight purveyors of aftermarket cables. It is not entirely clear to me from all the marketing blurb what other enhancements there are over the K 701, no doubt all will become clear in the fullness of time.
