I have just been given a couple of nice new items, both were brand new and still sealed till I decided to open them, the first is what I have always wanted for many years, a reel to reel tape recorder, mainly due to the fact that I have around 20 reels from my dads collection that I have not listerned to since I was a kid, this nice fine example, a brand new black version Akai GX-747dbx, and with it I also got a set of KEF 104/2 speakers, again brand new and sealed, so one happy bunny.
What I am after is does anyone know where I can get a kit class a valve amp from? I have tried looking at fleebay but really not sure what to look for, I know that the speakers are 4ohm impedance and I am only looking at a valve amp as I know that was what my dad used with his, and if possible I would like a kit version so that I can build it myself, electronics don’t faze me too much.
Anyone know of any good sources for stereo valve amp kits?
