I'm building a new system and need some recommendations. Heres what I've got...
Denon AVP-A1HDCI preamp
Denon POA-A1HDCI amp
Sonus Faber Liuto speakers, with center channel
Obviously I'm building the system around the above components. I don't listen to CDs much, because i enjoy the convenience of a music server and have used the AppleTV for that purpose in the past. But I've re-ripped all my CDs and am looking for an easy to use music server with flac and apple lossless capabilities. I don't know if i need a dedicated DAC because the preamp is supposed to have some pretty powerful DAC capabilities. Should i connect optical or coax? I have two XLR inputs on the preamp and would think theres a good solution out there somewhere in the form of a DAC that outputs XLR. Any ideas on any of these questions?
