I just bought a Music Hall USB-1 turntable. This is my first turntable and have no idea, other than speakers, what other pieces of equipment to buy. The day I bought it I plugged it into a 20 year old Bose Wave-machine, but the sound was extremely faint. I'm now assuming I will need some sort of amp or receiver (my ignorance here should indicate my level of knowledge), but dont know which to go with.
I've also recently bought a bass guitar (the bass is just for fun and won't be leaving the house) and was wondering if I went with the amp option for the TT would I be able to use it for the bass also? Could a receiver work with the bass?
My end goal (other than excellent sounding music) is to be able to play a record with the bass turned down so I can play along with it on my bass guitar.
