Ok, so I have browsed the forums and of course the equipment reviews. Needles to say, the information is quite overwhelming.
I am starting from scratch and would like a system around 1500.
I think I am set for the rega rp1 tt for my analog needs playing mostly rock (I have quite a collection of records that have been passed down to me).
I love a wide range of music and my digital library ranges from Jazz to Dubstep(dont judge). I would like to pass up a CD player for a direct input into my computer or other digital medium.
With that said, for about 1000-1200 dollars (due to the purchase of the TT), what would you all recomend in terms of amp, speakers, wires, etc. I am having a hard time because of the wide range of music I listen to.
I know I would like an amp with a phono input for the TT trying to avoid the pre-amp (hopefully this is possible) in order to save some dough.
I have no clue about speakers, there seem to be so many to choose from. Will I need a sub for the deep bass in the electronic music?
SUMMARY: Best all around system for around 1500 dollars that will accomidate the wide range of music styes I listen to. (I do have some wiggle room for price) The current room is about 12' X 12' (hardwood floors, naked walls) but I plan to move soon to a bigger place. I understand if this is a bit overwhelming, but I figured this forum would be the best place to start.
Thank you in advance for any advice and feel free to tell me that I am crazy for trying to get a stystem for this price.
Best,
Scott
