50 Albums That Changed Music

Okay, no list of 50 could be perfect, but this one's pretty good. I could probably come up with a list of 50 that also changed music without any overlap, but that's one of the pleasures of the list game.

Here's the part I found really interesting: The Guardian almost spends more time describing what albums are ("clumps of songs") than defending its choices.

Well, I haven't listened to Songs in the Key Of Life much in the last 30 years, and contemporary R&B IS empty and lifeless...

Lists are lists, and we could all make one or two up," I'm sure. I really don't have a problem with that particular list. I did scratch my head at the first sentence following The Who's appearance on that list. ""Alongside the equally influential Small Faces......"" Excuse me? Small Faces was a great band", but they weren't The Who.I just had to find something to nit-pick about, didn't I?
