Some folks can take months, if not years, to finally buy that new amp, while others can make a "love at first sight" judgment in a matter of minutes. How long does it take you to go from quest to quenched?

How long does it take to narrow down the choices for a new component to the one you purchase?

Many respondents to last week's vote point out that audiophiles are such a small minority that our opinions don't really matter and probably won't drive the market towards high-resolution audio. So, how many audiophiles to you think are actually out there?

The titles are starting to trickle out in both the SACD and DVD-Audio formats. But as far the public is concerned, they don't really exist. What is your suggestion for kick-starting the high-resolution audio market?

If you were in charge, what would you do to insure the long term success of high resolution formats like DVD-Audio and SACD?

There are numerous ways to voice an audio system, ranging from lush sound (no matter what the source) to a "warts-and-all" honesty that may be hard to listen to at times. Which do you prefer?

Do you prefer a euphonic audio sound or absolute accuracy?
