When Primedia's specialty magazine group, which includes Stereophile, was purchased by Source Interlink in the summer of 2007, all of our ventures were examined critically. The decision was made to sit out 2008, and perhaps develop a new Show strategy.
In the meantime, Stereophile was a cosponsor of this year's FSI in Montreal -- see http://blog.stereophile.com/fsi2008 -- and will be taking a higher profile at the RMAF in October.

When at RMAF, make sure you do some VanAlstine coverage, come on guys, he makes great stuff, priced for mortals, ya gotta recognize that by now. He shows stuff there. www.avahifi.com
Hey DUP, I think at this point, they're not going to review AVA gear on principle. In fact, if they do, and they wind up giving it a good review, they'll have a riot on their hands. It can't be done. Van Alstine is destined to fade into obscurity.
