I bought these speakers new in 1986 for $830. I personally have reconed them 3 times and replaced the foam 3 times over the past 24 years. They still sound quite good considering. The "T" suffix denotes 'titanium' for the HF transducer. This was the last year the "T" models used oil rubbed walnut veneers which were really nice to look at. In 1987 they went cheap with the laminated fake wood veneer. I love these speakers and will never sell them even though I am replacing them with the Egglestons. The JBL's and I have been through alot of women and the shit that accompanies relationships.
