in Fremer's column this month, he stated that the Mk.II speedbox could be used with both pro-ject and MH turntables. can anyone confirm this before i buy one? a few websites i went to said it only works with pro-ject TTs and i want to make sure it will work with MH. thanks, kirk
Works beautifully with my MH MMF-7. I got the same mixed messages you got before I bought mine, but the folks at Acoustic Sounds assured me that I'd have no problem and they were absolutely right. Use larger pulley for both 33 1/3 and 45 and control motor speed from box. You can trust Mikey, he wouldn't steer you wrong.
cheapskate-
thanks! i plan on getting one now, along with one of herbie's excellent TT mats.

Great article on the speedbox this month. I just added one to my ProJect Debut III and it is an incredible improvement!
Isn't it great to find a low priced item which produces high level improvement! The little speed box is very high on the value scale. Amazing, isn't it, (and delightful) how inexpensively you can put together a really good analog front end. Couple that with the fine new vinyl pressings available now in nearly every genre and the world seems to make sense again.

I could not have said it better!
