The Trumpet's Splendour

Wonderful program on Swedish television the other day about Alison Balsom. Definitely one for Elk et al.

Enjoy!

She is both very good and delightfully charming.

Re: The Trumpet's Splendour

Absolutely delicious!

There are some nice short interview sections, but it is primarily performances.

Gorgeous, insightful version of the Haydn; an astounding performance of Debussy (at about minute 29:00), exquisite playing at 33:00 <sigh> (I don't know the piece), etc.

She is traveling to my end of the world and will be playing a recital here soon. A must attend event.

Struts,

Thanks for that link. I enjoyed the Haydn and the conversation.

This material proves a demonstration of the value of PC based audio for classical music. I would not have known about this program without your forum message and would not have had access to it without a web site link and streaming audio. I was quite grateful to be able to watch and hear. Whatever the bit rate, the quality was good enough to allow me to thoroughly enjoy the program.

Good points, Bill.

I also would never have heard this.
