Interesting looking products, although I must confess I'm a sucker for product names taken from Norse mythology
I think the industrial design is really nice, especially considering the price. IMO the C-profile with the curved top and bottom edges to the fascia is distinctive and elegant in a vaguely Scandinavian sort of way, although I would expect the case to get quite warm running a FET at 35W in class A with no external heatsinking. Only fly in the ointment is the positioning of the grub screw in relation to the indicator on the volume knob - looks like it will be visible for most of its usable arc
This could be some good Schitt! Please report back on your impressions if you decide to buy.
The initial impressions thread at HeadFi does comment on the heat...it is not insignificant.
I too am very impressed with the overall appearance..very clean.
Did you read the FAQ or the "About Us" stuff? These guys have a very well honed sense of humor, in case the company name was not enough to suggest that!

So I'm to understand that a company named Shit has a product called Ass-Guard?
Someone's pullin' our chains.
That was my initial impression, but the product seems to be real....there is a spirited thread at HeadFi populated by more than a few actual users.
I suppose once word gets out, they can change their name, but who knows? Perhaps Stereophile could request a review sample? :-) This looks to be right up Sam's........alley.

I ain't saying these are not real products, but I think they are having us on with the German names of thier stuff.
I also think its hilarious. I love it!
SMPF!
I guess they would be the Schiitheads.
Interesting backchannel over at head-fi, one user reporting (without a hint of irony) a nice tight bottom end..
Clearly a very interesting product, who cares if the name's crap?
I see Mike Moffat is a company partner. I knew him back in the day. We worked together in 1975. He was a bright young EE who did work for Jonas Miller Stereo on the side. He designed a very neat Triode amp for driving QUAD electrostatics. Turned my roommate on to the good stuff when every one else was pushing big transistors. Ron still has his Moffat amp, QUAD 57's, modded Citation preamp and Decca cartridge. I remember Mike and Ron boiling out the potting goo in the QUADs and rebuilding the power supplies. Mike helped Ron rebuild the blown panels on the QUADs. He was into passing along the keys to the hi-fi kingdom. Ron and I got together last October in L.A. and fired up the vinyl. What a trip.
Good luck to Mike in his new endeavor. He certainly knows his Schiit.
He must be the number two.
You must be a member of the Anti-Defecation League.
Stop already! All this toilet humor is driving me potty...
Nurse! Struts need his medication!
