Soldering is not that difficult. You would want to practice on some junk parts and wires before you tackled the kit, however. And then you would have to add the cost of the soldering iron and any other tools into the equation.
So, the price is $562 kit or $700 assembled? It's not an extra $350 each for assembly, I trust. Only you can decide how to spend your money, but if it were my money, I'd spend the extra $138 and have them built for me. If anything goes wrong, it's their problem. And I've built about a dozen pairs of speakers from scratch.
