As a Stereophile subscriber, I read your review of the Pioneer S1-EX in the March issue. I also recently read several other glowing reviews of these loudspeakers. All the reviews I could access are unanimously positive.
The S1-EX is on my short list and I plan to listen to them soon.
I am however a bit worried about the response above 10Khz in the measurements you published. On Fig 4 (http://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/307piosex/index4.html) there are very serious dips and peaks (-10dB to +10dB).
Any explanations about these large dips and peaks and their potential impact?
Thanks in advance,
