Hi, I have a question regarding the little Optimus cd-3400. It was a portable cd player from Radio Shack of all places that got amazing reviews here at Stereophile. My question is, does anyone know if its follow-up, the Optimus cd-3640, also sounded amazing or was this a one-time only thing?

One time only. Your asking about something I purchased ten years ago, but, I believe the later model lacked the digital output of the original.
