Obama is making politics fun again

Harry Teague voted along the party line on the recent CAP/Tax bill that passed The House.

We just elected Rep. Harry Teague (D) into office to protect our oil assets in the Permian Basin. Harry is a well known oilman that has made a tidy fortune in the oil well servicing end of the business. He is also very aggressive having run out all his Texas competitors from The Basin so he has a virtual monopoly in his line of work. Anyway, he had a town hall meeting yesterday. I should have went. Here is an eyewitness account I received via email last night.

Quote:

I went to Teague's meeting at Peppers today. There may have been 50 there. None were happy with Teague. He wouldn't even come into the backroom where everyone was waiting. He said that he would meet annyone 1 on 1 as long as time would permit. Finally the assistant said we could come out into the large dining room. By then it was after 4:00 o'clock. If people didn't give him hell, I'll kiss your ass. He lied, he said he voted on that bill to keep jobs. Finally he said that he had not read the bill. He is like the rest. He votes the way that he is paid to vote. One old boy really pinned him down with questions that he couldn't answer. I now think that he is just like the rest. I was starting to like him but he is an idiot. No doubt, we are screwed. I hated to go because I figured that I would be in the minority, possibly the only one that didn't just love him, but everyone there felt the same way I did. Wonder he didn't get his ass kicked. As he was getting in his car, there were people yelling insults at him.

You mess with the bull you get the horns. Next time he will think twice about fucking us up the ass. Fucking no good hypocrite piece-of-shit. What was I posting the other day about tarred, feathered and run out of town on a rail? Dirty Harry got off easy this time.

I suspect that he went home that evening and while enjoying a nice steak dinner with his family, had a good laugh at the events at the Town Hall meeting. I also suspect that he's already figured out how, when and where he's going to fuck you all up the ass the next fifteen times out.

He didn't go home to Hobbs last night. In fact, nobody seems to know where he is hiding today. Come on down here if you feel Teague is so confident. Because he is through in Southeast NM. Done. Professionally and politically.

I don't know that Teague is confident of anything, but in general someone with the necessary ego, arrogant assumption of entitlement to power and ambitions of amassing huge quantities of money it takes to be dominatingly successful in business or politics usually doesn't give a flying fuck out a rat's asshole what other people think of them.

Anybody stood up to take his place yet? Somebody who embodies the values that are the antithesis of the route Teague decided to take, somebody who is willing to give up their current lifestyle and not just blather and wave their fist at the U.S. political machine, but actually jump right on in its gaping maw?

Well, he is a freshman congressman. I'm sure some Republican oilman will take his place in about 18 months or so and we can start the whole process all over again. But you're right. I misunderstood your intent *surprise*. I kinda like your style. Reminds me of someone else.
