Thanks for the tip, Bob. I was excited, but then saw that the price of the controller was as high as the SB itself: $300. Umm, kind of represents a poor value, unless you get one included in the purchase of the Duet or something. Probably some Transporter owners will spring for this, but it doesn't make any sense for SB owners.

Agreed regarding the price. I was a little taken back by it. But, then again, Sonos wants $400 for their controller.

I still think it will be useful for SB3 owners since it puts the display where you are, not where the SB is. That is helpful for me since I need to throw the glasses on every time I want to see the display from my listening position.

Update on my initial post:

I received my Controller on Thursday. In under 5 minutes I had it unpacked, looked over the quick start booklet, it found my network, updated the firmware and I was playing music on my SB3 (battery was at half charge when I unpacked it.). I really enjoy this thing. It is a big advantage to me to have the screen with me instead of having to put my glasses on to read the SB3 display across the room from my listening position. Since I play mostly classical, I look at the screen quite a bit to keep up with what movement is playing, especially with less familiar pieces. I don't use album art so can't comment there. The screen resolution is fantastic and the thumb wheel works well and has a nice feel. All in all, nice job Slim Devices. I get full signal strength from my router located two rooms away. I recommend the Controller for any user of the SB3 or Transporter.

Just a quick $.02. TViX is a very cool media device with built in FLAC(plus may others) support.
