Natalie Merchant sings just like a female Eddie Vedder.

Swallowed vocals?

Eerily similar.

Listening to Trinity revisited, and Natalie sounds like Eddie on Premarin.

I grabbed the MFSL of Tigerlily. I had actually forgotten what a fantastic album that is.

Wait. Were you saying you didn't like her voice?

No! I like both.

The similarity just kind of hit me through the haze last night.

I always thought that Eddie Veder sounded a lot like Jim Morrison of the Doors. I think that all three have something in common. They all have limited vocal ranges, but put them to good use and work around them turning a weakness into a strength.
