My stomach and I thank you! Yes, Flagyl was one of the drugs, and it's dreadful stuff. (The other was an anti-protozoal drug that would have cost a fortune if not for our insurance.) And of course the doctors don't mention that Flagyl is a known carcinogen until after you've started taking it. Yikes!
The whole experience was one that I don't care to ever repeat...
I hope you're feeling better. What's up with Stereophile this year? First, Sam got hospitalized, now you're on some serious drugs. No wonder so many writers have left to write for TAS!
It's a known carcinogen in rats, but in humans, they've never been able to nail down what it does-- it probably increases the risk of lung cancer in both sexes and uterine cancer in women. If it makes you feel better, I've had it three times in the last dozen years and so far, I'm fine... (but then, I don't have a uterus, and have never smoked tobacco)
