Dion - Bronx In Blue: Well worth a listen

The latest issue of The Audiophile Voice (Volume 11, Issue 4) features a nice picture of Dion on the cover and a rave review of his latest CD Bronx In Blue

inside. Based on that stellar review and Dion's great version of "Turn Me Loose" on the Doc Pomus tribute CD of a few years back, I decided to give the CD a listen and boy oh boy, what a killer recording.

It's just Dion, his acoustic guitar and some tasteful percussion (drums, etc), all very cleanly recorded, doing wonderful versions of 12 classic old blues tunes plus 2 originals. Here's a list of the tunes:

1. Walkin' Blues
2. You're the One
3. I Let My Baby Do That
4. Who Do You Love
5. Built for Comfort
6. Crossroads
7. Travelin' Riverside Blues
8. You Better Watch Yourself
9. How Many More Years
10. Terraplane Blues
11. Honky Tonk Blues
12. Baby, What You Want Me to Do
13. Statesboro Blues
14. If You Wanna Rock & Roll

Dion's singing is great and his guitar playing is first rate. Very highly recommended.
