Here is a link I thought some of you might like to have for some new earbud foam that looks very good. I have ordered some for my 452 Denon's I just bought.
I use these on my Ultimate Ears Triple.fi Pro 10s. They're very comfortable and provide great isolation. Highly recommended.
I just bought an inexpensive pair of Denon C452 earbuds off Amazon. I burned them in for over 100 hours and the highs were too much for even me with hearing loss over 6KHZ very noticable. If someting is bright to me is will be awful for any one with great hearing.
The 100 hours have really smoothed out the highs and these are the best $44 headphones of any type I have ever owned. The stock small ear pads work well, but you must get a great seal, but once you do the bass is full and the freq range seems balanced to me. They are not as bright or 3D as my Grados, but that is not a fair fight. I will be living with the Denon C452s for a long time, at least until I decide what the Shure's JA uses must do!
For a stocking stuffer at Christmas to upgrade a young person's buds for their portable player...These are the ticket. I never thought you could get this sound for $44. There are 3 different size pads in the pack, so one should fit. I think their style should give most a good fit.
The new Comply Foam Pads should be here today or Monday and I expect a modest improvement as others have enjoyed. 3 pairs of smalls for $15 and free shipping was a winner for me.
Of course now they are $59 buds, but still worth every penny.
