Hi, Yertherder! Welcome!
I have found that most audiophiles seem to prefer the print format for maximum enjoyment of their hobby.
Yerthurder? What's a "yert" and are they difficult to hurd?
2-inch 2-track analog master tape at 30/ips with a custom wired dolby A box and Tim De Paravicini head box?
That's gotta be pretty OK.
One, please. Thank you.
Now pass the master tapes. Something from Island Records would be nice.
Where's DVD-Audio and DSD, among others?
Dave
On my system, DVD-Audio slightly trumps SACD with CD and vinyl a close tie depending on the album. My vinyl rig is a vintage Philips 212 with a cheap Grado, so it's not representative of the high end possibilities others on this forum enjoy.
Don't you need to define "best" before anybody can respond? Best in terms of what - sound, convenience, portability, album art, liner notes, etc., etc., etc? Just asking 'what is the best' is way to broad to be meaningful.
