Balanced Tube Pre

For fun I added a Sonic Frontiers SFL-1 to my system. I used to use my DAC to do double duty. I was prepared not to like the sound, but my wife and I both felt there was a significant improvement particuliary vocals and guitar.

The SFL-1 is a single ended hybrid with 1 tube. I am wondering if a fully balanced product with more tubes will improve the sound that much better.

If the above is true can anyone recommend a balanced tube pre that won't break the bank?

Re: Balanced Tube Pre

Thanks.

Any recommendations on an amp? I currently have Studio 100's which I drive with an Anthem MCA 20. I am thinking about mono's. I have a pretty big room. It has cathedral ceilings and measures 20 by 40. Thanks.

Re: Balanced Tube Pre

Thanks for the help. I just wanted to let you both know I ended up getting a set of McCormack Power Drive DNA Monoblocks. I got a great deal off Audiogon. So far so good.
