Yeah, there is a definite point to this article. I am the proud owner of a 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280SE. The 4.5 L V-8 blasts through a gallon of premium (which is the minimum octane this engine will stand) every 9 miles. Not to mention 75 dollars worth of oil every change.Having said that, I really LOVE this car. Power, perfect ride, classic good looks and that special comfortable patina only time and care can create.
