Janis Joplin at Baltimore Civic Center 1969. Huge Multicellular horns drove clarity back to my cheap seat. Warmup by Paul Butterfield Blues Band and Joe Cocker and the Rubber Band did not prepare me for Janis jumping on the back of the security officer who pulled a fan off the stage by his ankles. WOW!

Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra at the Sacramento Community Center playing Ellington in '95. The list of musicians still boggles the mind: Louis Nash, Marcus Roberts, Joshua Redman, Nicholas Payton, Ryan Kisor, Jesse Davis, Jon Faddis and more. I walked on air for 2 days afterwards.
