Series or parallel? Equipment rated for either but which is better?

I don't know why you are making an issue of something that is almost NEVER done (and for good reasons).

Your amplifier has an 80 watt rating for a 4 ohm load, which is essentially what your speakers are.

Connect them directly to the amp and forget about any sort of series or parallel connection, which would be unwise and inappropriate.

A parallel connection would result in a very low impedance - less than 2 ohms. Connect them in series.

Why would you want them in series? Or parallel?

They are 4 ohm speakers and the amp is rated for a 4 ohm load. DUHHHH.

Just connect the speakers directly to the amp and forget about series or parallel!

The OP wants to connect 4 speakers - 2 per channel. The only choices are series or parallel.
