REGA PLANAR 3 + WHAT ELSE?

Hi guys Im new here and trying to put together a sound system.

Im also new to the whole 'vinyl world' and don't know too much which is why I like some help with...

WHAT MODEL OF EVERYTHING SHOULD I GET?!

I've looked around and pretty much set on getting a Rega Planar 3 TT.

I'd like to spend maybe £300 more altogether?

Im gonna be buying my stuff on ebay, so Id like some suggestions that probably retail a fair bit higher, but that I can get at a reduction.

Should I get an integrated amplifier? (looked at the audiolab 8000a)

should I get a cheaper amplifier and preamp for now and boost up on speakers?

thanks

if

in general I would say spend more on the speakers, there is usually a larger amount of sound differnce between speakers than between amplifiers.

awesome

I nearly went away thinking the exact opposite! Thanks!

Know any good speakers that I could go for for about £200 then?

stereophile

I'd check out Stereophile recommended components, and speaker reviews.  The non-powered speakers that I am most familiar with in that price range are good but not current models; bookshelf models from B&W and Sound Dynamics.

System

I suggest that you look at a Cambridge integrated amplifier and a set of Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 speakers.

The amplifier and speakers both affect sound quality considerably.
