For some time now I have been raving about the truly excellent sound of my new Bryston 3B-SST2 amplifier.
Certain other people have said "oh, I've heard that Bryston stuff and I don't think that it sounds quite THAT good...".
Well, maybe we are both right.
In talking to various people, including some at Bryston, it develops that...
a) The ST and SST iterations of the Bryston amplifiers are supposed to be substantially improved in sound quality compared to earlier versions, and also...
b) the 3B-SST may be better-sounding than the 4B-SST or some of the higher-powered models.
So...I guess maybe a discussion has been going on where the sound I am hearing and the sound someone else is hearing ARE significantly different from each other, because we ARE talking about two significantly different amplifiers from the same company.
I guess we had better get the vintage straight before comparing our cabernets...even if they come from the same vineyard...lol.
