The reality is, more power is better in that it helps the speakers open up. I am not sure exactly what amp you are looking at but If you are unhappy with the Bryston power output, here are a couple of good choices that ought to be in that price range.

Classe CA-D200 - 200w into 8 ohms, 400w into 4ohms, not as powerful as your reference but plenty of power to drive those speakers well. I have heard this amp and was impressed by it. for class d, classe has made there own proprietary circuits and they are excellent.

Rogue Audio Medusa - same power specs, 200w into 8, 400w into 4 ohms. I own the little one of these, the hydra. Rogue uses hypex modules which sound very good with their own, proprietarytube based input stage. I love this amp and find it to be smooth and highly detailed. You have the flexibility to roll in different tubes to tweak the sound. Cifte nod tubes will add sparkle and give the amp a class A/B sound profile and if you rolled in Mullards it would sound more class A to tubish.

NAD Master Series M22 is a bit less expensive and delivers 250w into 8 ohms. It uses hypex modules as well but lacks the proprietary tube circuitry. If power is your concern, this is an A+ choice but you will get a bit more of a refined sound from the Classe or the Rogue IMO but it is $1000 USD cheaper.

There are others but I am 100% certain these are great sounding amps that are in the same league as Bryston.

I have 5k dollars Canadian to spend on an integrated amp ( or 2 separate amps 1 integrated , but still 5k total) including tax

I have dynaudio speakers ( Impedance is 4 ohms -Sensitivity:87 db
IEC Power Handling:> 250 W

I ve looked at Bryston , i also love the warranty ,but cant seem to find the power there i can afford

i have used the Blue circle ELD-BD which is 300 watts into 8 ohms and 600 watts into 4 ohms (5K) as a comparison for satisfying power

I am open to the idea that my ideas of power requirements are wrong

The Bryston amps are very tempting , but at a price i can afford the power seems one heck of alot lower

Can these much lower powered Brystons sound as good as the ELD-BD , or better ?

Or other amps you may suggest

Cheers

Are you looking for an integrated amp or separates? What's your Dynaudio speaker model?
I second Bierfeldt's suggestions. The above mentioned power amps are spectacular especially for the money. But you would need a preamp unless your CD player or universal disc player or streamer/DAC or standalone DAC has built-in volume control.

If your budget is around $5k for an integrated amp I would seriously look into the Classe Sigma 2200i stereo integrated amp ($5500) but since Classe recently just dissolved effective Oct 8 you should be able to get one from a Classe dealer at discounted price if they still have one in stock.
Musical Fidelity M6i ($3k) integrated is pretty awesome too.

If you are looking for just a power amp for around $5k I would look for a used Classe CA-2300 stereo power amp. This amp outputs 300 wpc @ 8 ohms & 600 wpm @ 4 ohms. This amp retails for $7k but since Classe is recently out of business you can get one at discounted price probably around $5k or less. Unlike the CA-D200, which is a digital amp or class D amp, the CA-2300 is a class AB analog amplifier and it performs and sounded better than the CA-D200 class D amp and has quite a bit more power than the CA-D200 amp.
The CA-D200 is very good but the CA-2300 is better...more refined and more musical imo and smoother than the CA-D200 amp.

I used to have a Bryston power amp, and it sounded fairly good, but I replaced it with a Musical Fidelity M6PRX, which sounds markedly better (and has more power and cost a bit less!)

I suggest that you consider the Musical Fidelity M6si, which is a superb unit that has enough power to run any speakers on the planet.

It basically has the same power amp section as my amp, plus it is an integrated amplifier with a fine preamp and phono stage. This is rather remarkable, since I paid $3500 for my power amp, and the M6si costs only $3000. That has to be an incredible price for that unit; I would have expected it to cost twice as much.
