I know the guy that designs the Mapleshade cables, Ron Bowman. He's very smart. The cables are excellent. Mapleshade cables have been very extensively reviewed over the years. Let your fingers do the walking. There is no doubt that Mapleshade's Omega Mikro cables with center conductor of 54 ga are world class cables.

I think I can remember one or two rare times in my life when I was held utterly and literally speechless, an event that has captured my senses completely and overwhelmingly. That is the impact these cables have on my listening; I am shocked, stunned at the amazing clarity and transparency of sound. The imaging, in my opinion, is not limited as before to a central area or by the angle of the speakers; it is closer and more enveloping and yet is surgically precise and clear as a mountain stream. The part that is so amazing is that I can immediately and distinctly hear the deep recesses of the sound field and then the decay into the deep blackness of silence. The leading edge of the sound slices through the air with the lethal power and elegance of a Samurai sword, subduing and enchanting at the same time. Everything said about these cables and, for that matter, all the enhancements and cables I have, is true! Pierre has been very thoughtful and generous, giving his time and understanding to explain to me how he gets and how I can get a purer level of sound. I am eternally grateful for making it possible for me to reach the very high altitudes of audio purity on a budget should have kept me flightless! Merci Pierre! Elison from pay to write essay

Guys-
when mentioning cables/power cords, also state the associated gear, involved in the demo/audition.
When I listened to Mapleshade's top of the line cables at CES, the Omega Mikro and all the rest, the associated equipment was the then brand new Nakamichi Dragon CD System that included these two separate beautiful and expensive hardwood paneled chasses, both of which were accommodated on my then new Nimbus single airspring sub Hertz isolation platform, the gorgeous sounding amplifier from Ron Bowman that actually was set for a constant volume and had no volume pot, all cabling suspended by fine threads from eye hooks in the ceiling, a well placed Mpingo disc. Oh, and the then brand new Gallo reference speakers, the ones with the two big eyeballs and a super duper wide dispersion tweeter on top. Getting back to the Nakamichi Dragon CD System for just a second, the transport section of the player component incorporated a very unusual feature - when the CD was placed on the tray and the tray was inserted into the player a very high vacuum was created all around the CD transport section. You know, for another layer of vibration isolation. What will they think of next? As I recall it was this Mapleshade system at CES that year that the reviewer for Stereophile referred to in that issue as Plan 9 from Outer Space. ~Blush~
