I have a Linn Sondek LP12 that I bought new in 1977 with an Alphason HR100S tonearm and a Madrigal Carnegie One mc cartridge. It was considered the best set-up around at the time. It has had very little use and in storage for the last 10 years. I plan to list it in classifieds but have been told I will get more if I sell the tone arm, cartridge and table seperately. I have obviously been out of touch with the market for some time. What should I do? Thanks for your opinions!
You want an idea on the used turntable market? Just keep an eye on the eBay auctions. You won't believe how much people will bid for a turntable advertised as broken. You'll get a good price with a simple competitive auction on eBay. No problem. Forget about local classifieds. Not enough people in a single area for a good price.
