Do you adjust your balance control at all?

Last week we picked on tone controls, so this week, we'll put the spotlight on the balance knob. Do you use it in your system? Is it at any setting other than dead center?

Absolutely! First, I have a slight imbalance between my ears. Second, my listening room is assymetrical. Third, almost every recording I have is minutely off center just a bit (hate it when orchestral flutes, oboes, etc. are hard right or hard left). I find a balance control -- preferrably remote -- essential.

I do not have one

i find a lot of my music cds and lps to be of balance, a simple 1/2db to as much 2db adjustment improves the imaging and places voices dead center. all in all a great feature to have.

I have never thought of this as an issue. If the recording or temporary seating position needs it, then adjust the balance....have I missed something???

I'd rather move my speakers
