First of all, your speakers are sensitive enough that 50 watts per channel is quite adequate; no issue there.

For best audio quality, however, I suggest that you consider a NAD receiver rather than a Marantz (although Marantz is certainly much better than any of the trash from Yamaha, Onkyo, or Pioneer).

You can get the NAD T748 receiver from Audio Advisor for $599, and that would be my recommendation. It has ARC and the other features you want, plus a lot more, and will give you excellent sound quality with your speakers.

I recently purchased a set of Sennheiser RS 180 wireless headphones for around $250 from Amazon.

The sound quality is excellent, they have a range of over 100 feet in the house with absolutely no noise, and they are comfortable and lightweight.

You can connect them to the preout jacks of any receiver, or connect directly to any device with a headphone jack.

Thx for your advice. Nad was always on my dream list, although the recommended receiver does not have network support.
Is Marantz really that bad compared to NAD?
