You should try the Audioengine 5's. Just look 'em up, I don't think you're supposed to post web sites here (?)

There are also a number of near field "powered monitors" available from pro audio stores like:
Musicians Friend
ZZounds

from companies like Alesis, Event, Tannoy, JBL, M-Audio, Yamaha, Behringer, and others. Most are shielded for use near monitors. Prices are all over, but if you have a Guitar Center near you you can audition them there. In store pricing should be the same. Buy there if you audition...it is only fair.
